God also shows his love towards us by being ready to forgive:
For you, O Jehovah, are good and ready to forgive; And the loving-kindness to all those calling upon you is abundant. — Psalm 86:5

The Bible uses the feelings that a mother has for her baby to teach us about Jehovah’s compassion. Can a wife forget her suckling so that she should not pity the son of her belly? Even these women can forget, yet I myself shall not forget you. (Isaiah 49:15)

Therefore, if YOU, although being wicked, know how to give good gifts to YOUR children, how much more so will the Father in heaven give holy spirit to those asking him. (Lk 11:13)
